On Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM, Panola County Emergency Management will be taking part in a public warning system statewide drill to test messaging platforms.

Panola County Emergency Services District No. 1 (“District) has proposed a budget amendment for its 2026 fiscal year.

Panola County ESD No. 1 ( PCESD 1) Board of Commissioners will be having a public meeting to discuss district business. District residents are welcome to attend.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the Commissioners' Court of Panola County that all outdoor burning is prohibited in the unincorporated areas of Panola County for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of adoption of this Order,

BE IT THEREFORE ORDERED for the following seven (7) days the following emergency regulations are hereby established for all unincorporated areas of Panola County, Texas, with this Order being in effect until further Order of the Commissioners' Court of Panola County, Texas;

Panola County officials continue to monitor weather conditions. The Carthage Civic Center will remain open as a warming center until further notice.

Panola County officials are closely monitoring current weather conditions and any related power outages. Warming centers are on standby and can be opened as needed, depending on the power needs of the community.
